Hello, my name is Robyn Gardner and I am the Founder of my non-profit I.F.T.S (Infertility For The Soul.) I started this non-profit in 2019 to help others also impacted by infertility and the stigma associated with it. I have two beautiful children from a previous marriage. I am now married to my wonderful husband, Stephen Gardner. The two of us have no children together due to infertility issues. About three years into our relationship my husband and I were ready to expand our blended family, but after two years of trying with no positive pregnancy results we thought maybe we should go consult a reproductive doctor. After numerous blood tests, diagnostic testing and a semen analysis we received the most devastating news, our struggle was due to male factor infertility. We were then notified that the only way for us to conceive was to go through IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). BUT, their was one obstacle in the way... finances. We did not have the finances for this procedure and in order for us to do this procedure we needed financial help. With the support from our families, depleting our savings and taking out a personal loan our journey into IVF had begun. After all the injections, doctor appointments, and ultrasounds we finally made it to the moment of truth when it was time for the pregnancy test. We were filled with anticipation leading up to the day of our BFP (Big Fat Positive). Sadly, days later we were heartbroken and devastated to learn that our test was negative. It's taken up to almost over a year for me to get some clarity and start feeling myself again. As for my husband he barely spoke about it even though I knew it hurt him everyday. Although we are better today that little empty spot in our heart is still missing. We still have the two pictures of our little embabies (Embryos) sitting on our mirror as a daily reminder. We remain deeply rooted in our faith and belief that through IVF we will conceive and ultimately meet our rainbow baby. My husband and I would like to stress the fact that Infertility is not an inconvenience. It's a disease of the reproductive system that impairs the body's ability to perform the basic function of reproduction and because of this through I.F.T.S we will provide resources, education, support and grants to people struggling with infertility. My husband and I would like to wish Baby Dust To All!
